All About Work

I had the boy home for a few days last week.
For those of you that may be new to my blog,
I'm convinced he had been
abducted by aliens.

I had to do something.
So home he came.
For a little lot of sweat equity.
I'm not sure who sweated more...
him or me.

Not to get too boring here,
I'll toss in a few night shots
for ya all to view.

All of these shots of the moon were taken
from the same spot.  I was taken
with it's odd shape.

I'm sure I raked a billion plus needles.
He hauled.
We burned.
I raked.
He hauled and dumped.
You know it's a lot
when it's too many to burn.

We trimmed trees.
He hauled.
We burned some more.
He cleaned out the gutters.
We cleaned out the car.
We trimmed shrubs
and Pampas grass.
He mouthed off.
I lectured.
I cooked.
He ate.
And ate.
And ate.

He shoveled out the fire pit.
Hauled and dumped the ash.
I whined.
I was tired.
And sore.
I boiled eggs.
I baked a cake.
I made a small, early Easter dinner.
He packed.
He fed the birds.
He took out the garbage.

I took him back on Sunday.
Hopefully,
with a brand new attitude.
I don't think I can take
anymore of
HIS sweat equity!

Great moon shots! Sounds like you guys are doing the same kind of work we are doing around here! Great to have the work done and have the complaints cease isn't it!

Is Becky getting excited about her prom next week?

The moon was absolutely gorgeous here last night as well.... I didn't get to see the neat shape that you are showing but it was really large and low last night! Stunning!

Goodness! Sounds like you worked that poor boy to pieces.
But look at all the things you got done! At least you paid him in food...he probably enjoyed that.

sounds like quite a productive day. those days are long, but sweat equity builds character. i hate to admit that, largely becuz endorsing sweat equity may mean i find myself in the position of performing such activity soon. cool stretchy moon shots. you two were working under a unique moon.

The shape of the moon seemed weird but still beautiful as always. Hope you get some rest and maybe you can get your son to cook for you next time. I hope you have a beautiful Easter Sunday Jill.

Happy Easter to you and your family Jill.

Motherhood, hmm. I wonder sometimes if it is a blessing or a torture. I would like to think Blessing.
You surely did accomplish lots of work.
Now its time to take a break.
The moon has really been weird lately. But beautiful at the same time.

Nobody said being a mom would be easy. :)) The best part about kids is they eventually grow up. Well, most of them do. :)
