Rural Thursday Blog Hop #2

Most of my long time
followers
know I live in
the depths of pine trees.

I thought I'd show you a
part of my yard today.
This is only a small
portion of the pines.

This is taken from the end
of my driveway.

North side of driveway.
That's my little shed off to the right.

More of the North side.

I was born and raised in a very small town.
Population when I graduated was 360.
I've lived in larger places.
I've had a lot of good times
in cities.
But I always find my way home.
To the pines.

Gorgeous photos. Can you hear the wind blowing through the tall pines? I like to imagine the sound . . . What a lovely place to live.

I grew up in a tiny town for a while out side of the San Fernando Valley, in Southern California. There was one school, one doc, one small hardware store, cafe, and grocery store. We walked everywhere - and then the housing boom hit and in no time - 10 years or so, housing tracks sprung up everywhere! Now the orange groves, walnut groves, fields of corn, tomatoes, and everything else, is all gone.

The little rural town, grew up to be a big city - Simi Valley in Ventura County, California. The home of the Reagan Library.

I'd love a smaller town than we have now, Paso Robles, on the Central Coast of California. For me, your home looks like a place we could go visit and just enjoy nature - the sights, sounds and smells. It must be wonderful, Jill!

Thanks for sharing your place with us! I love your pictures! I also love your new header of the cute owl!

Blessings,
Donna

We have a small stand of Ponderosa Pines in our windbreak -- but nothing like this! I'd love to have a small forest in my front yard! Beautiful!

Thank you for linking up with us at Rural Thursdays, Jill. :)

Such a peaceful yard it is! It looks similar to my backyard here in NC. I love the pattern and repetition you've shown here...especially with the last photo.

Our last home/yard was filled with many trees, and lots of pines. I loved hearing the birds in the trees. Now in a neighborhood with few trees, I miss the sweet bird song. You live in a beautiful spot.
