One day, the north winds
are howling with bone
chilling cold.
The next,
we have temps in the 40's.
No matter what,
I think we could all use
a reminder of what's to come.
Welcome to a world of orchids,
located in lovely nursery near my home.
Now that's what I call
pretty!
How refreshing...like a breathe of spring air after a warm shower.

ReplyDeleteMy deceased husband used to repair a man's soda fountain in his house when it needed be. The man grew orchids in a large building with water coolers. He would punch holes in the bottom of a card board box and slip lots of orchids in the little vials into the slots and give them to my husband. We had orchids to give to so many women and some of them had never had an orchid before. I thought that was such a nice thing for him to do since he sold them too.

ReplyDeleteI am very fond of orchids.
ReplyDeleteAdoring the soft swirls of colors on your photos.
Best place to go sometimes for inspiration is the nursery for those photographs you can't find elsewhere.
Last year I bought 3 orchids. Two in a store, and one at a orchid show. Well, the orchid show one is trying to bloom now. I really thought it was dead. But kept feeding it. You gave me a great idea. I could blog its progress.
Beautiful....and a nice reminder, too. Even down here in Florida, it's been really cold! Brrrr!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's what I call BEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these beauties with us!
Blessings, Donna
Those orchids are just spectacular. Isn't it wonderful that they are so available these days and actually at a price that is affordable!
