Something Very Strange...

happened in our home the other night.
I just had to document it as I couldn't
believe what I was seeing.
In 7 years, this has
NEVER happened before.

Are you ready?
Seriously,
prepare yourself.
Here you go...

Max and Cupid were laying
together on the couch!
At first, I thought Cupid (the cat)
didn't realize Max was there but he did.  He really did!
They actually stayed this was for a good
5 minutes.

And then...
And then...
Ummm...Cupid had enough!

Can you just feel the disgust radiating
from Cupid? ha!

"What the heck was I thinking?"

"Good will and peace on earth
is meant for humans, NOT cats and dogs,
even if it is Christmas time!"

  5. That is so sweet.
My sister has 2 dogs and a cat and they all sleep one on top of the other. They get along great.

  7. MOL Cupid...I bet you were thinking if I ignore him he will go away!! But Max found a warm spot and was not budging. How long did you have to groom yourself to get rid of the K9 funk?

  11. Now, you do have to give Cupid credit for being "open minded" and giving it a try. They may not "love" each other, but they do seem to coexist peacefully--that's pretty good for a cat and dog. Enjoy your day, Jill. Mickie :)

  12. It's a Christmas miracle! Actually they probably snuggle all the time when you aren't around and the minute they knew you saw them together is when kitty decides to make a break for it.

  13. I think it was a Christmas miracle too--and mine did it the other day! I keep praying that they'll play, but the cat is the one who is aggressive! (My Maltese is smaller than her.)

Wouldn't it be nice if they could all just play all day together? We'd be SOOOO lucky!!!

  19. Haha! I almost felt a ray of hope for my dog and kitty to be friends until I saw Cupid decide it was enough!

Maybe they will shock you Jill and do this more often. :)

  22. Your cat is lovely! That is the kind of cat that I always wanted. It is my son and the cat that have this relationship at my house!

  23. Aw, that's great that you "caught them". And Cupid is a pretty kitty, who was just trying to score a few "nice" points with Santa!
