Inspired to Thrift

So many of you have been
sharing your wonderful thrifting finds
I just had to jump on board.

I was really in search of some vintage Christmas
decorations and may have found a few.

Here are some of my favorites:

I've mentioned before that I collect Santas.
This is the first New Year's Santa I have
ever seen and just "had" to have him!

I couldn't pass up this little
glittery reindeer on wheels.

There were 3 of these for my kitchen tree.

I just love these little guys
and hope to get some red glitter to bring
them back to their full potential.

These may go on a tree...
or gifts.

Again, gifts or trees.

These little cuties went into the bathroom
to add some holiday cheer.

Added these to the main tree.

Aren't these cute?

This is handpainted but has no other markings.

I feel in love with these carolers but
they don't have any marking either.

Am thinking these are pretty old.
Maybe some of you know for sure.
Danielle?  Julie Marie?

And last but not least...
I have never seen anything like this
and just fell completely in love with her.

Isn't she just the cutest
Mrs. Claus you have ever seen?

All of these goodies were in 2 bags that I purchased
There were many, many other items but as I said,
these are my favorites.
I hope you enjoyed seeing them!

  2. You definitely hit the jack pot with all your findings. I love the stockings and the reindeer on wheels and the Mrs. clause. Those are my favorite.
Funny you mentioned you went junking as my husband would call, yesterday I attempted to go to one of our local goodwills with my oldest daughter and I could not find parking. I was so upset. I just came home. I did not understand. It was 12 pm and the place was packed. Don't people work? Then they say the economy is bad. Anyhow, I plan on attempting again tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing your fabulous finds. Enjoy them.

  6. Hi Jill... love all your thrift shop finds!... Your little Santas with the glitter are no doubt from the 50's... and the salt and pepper Santas, too cute!... Be SURE to leave the old "Japan" paper tag on the bottom... "Japan" puts them sometime after 1941 to the present, however, those old paper tags were mainly used in the early 50's... they are a treasure!!!... if anything is marked "Made in Japan" it is prior to 1941 and WWII... have fun thrifting!... xoxo Julie Marie
