An End to A Year

or...
a whole lotta mish mash posting!

1)  Well, the nerve!  As I mentioned yesterday,
I had 2 long (11 hours), hot dates today with
Mr. Washer
and Mr. Dryer.
Or so I thought.
Several of you have informed me
that I am being two timed!
Will I never learn?
*note to self: just give up on dating for 2012!*

2) I've being doing a lot of analyzing of 2011
over the past few days.  Especially regarding my blog.
So many of you fantastic bloggers
have such well defined blogs.
Many of you are photographers,
writers, or crafters.
Like life in high school,
I seemed to get a long with most...
the "books," the "balls (athletes)"
and the "burn outs."
Time hasn't changed me.
I LOVE you ALL!
Yet I have to ask the question to you all...
does it bother you that my blog is ALL OVER THE PLACE?
Please be honest with me as this is a very real concern I have.
Thank you!

3)  One of the best things for me in 2011 was meeting
EACH and EVERY one of YOU!
I never realized the sense of community, the generosity
and the wealth of friendships that blogging entailed.
It really is the most wonderful place to be.
A very VALID use of
technology.
I thank each of my followers, commenter's
and fellow bloggers for sharing a part of themselves with me.
You have enlighten me in more ways than you know.

4)  Every 5-6 years in MN. we end up
with no or very little snow.  It seems this is the year.
We STILL have no snow!

5)  My big celebration for New Year's Eve will be
during the day tomorrow while a friend, Becky
and I go clean up on the sales
at Bath and Body.  Gift cards.  How fun!
I haven't rung in the New Year since becoming a parent
and it won't be any different this year.

To those of you who have someplace to be:
Have fun but be smart.
Please don't drink and drive
and
please don't text and drive, ever.
I would never want to lose you.

Thank you for a great year
and I look
forward to exploring
2012 with all of you!

Love and Hugs,
Jill

Hi Jill, just wanted to re-assure you that I think your blog is fab. I wouldn't keep coming back if I didn't like it. So stop fretting. I know what you mean though - I sometimes worry that my blog might get a bit boring. Hope not!!
This time of year is a time for reflection isn't it?
We don't tend to do much for hogmaney so will be having a quiet night in.
Have a pleasant new year when it comes.

Dear Jill if you have not noticed I am all over the place too. Just keep writing the way you do I enjoy it and I am so sure everyone else does too.
I love my bloggie friends and the mix is what keeps it special. A group of totally different people in one room getting along fabulously isn't it wonderful?
Happy New Year Jill. Have fun shopping and talk to you in 2011. B

Jill, your blog is all over the place. Just like mine. I wouldn't have it any other way. ;-)

I am so sorry you have no snow. You want it... I know a lot of people that do.
I am thrilled we have no snow. I don't want it.
Snowmobile are just sitting there and rusting, I suppose.

Nope, I am not seeing the New Year in either, is a bad waste of sleep.

Jill, I enjoy your blog just the way it is! (Mine is a "hodge podge," too!)

We've been having snow-free holidays here in Iowa, too. Unusual, but at least it makes my commute to/from school trouble-free.

Happy New Year, my new bloggy friend!

I love your blog . . . keep doing "your thing" . . . your blog is just fine . . . I visit you each day and look at all the others that visit you too!

I have heard there are "rules and regs" for blogging however so far I haven't seen or heard what they are . . . So I tell myself to just be myself, be honest and talk about my life. I like that you do some of that too . . .

So here we are . . . onward to 2012 . . .
Happy New Year Jill . . . be happy and well . . .

I absolutely A D O R E your blog just as it is. I love coming over each morning to see what you have been doing. It is a buffet of words all about your daily life, things you love/don't love, beautiful barns and about your State. Your pictures are excellent!! Don't change a dang thing and to end like all good Southerners do...Bless your heart for asking!!
Hugs to you all,
Madi and Mom

PS Ms. Jill your blog is about real people...ours has turned mom into a mistress of the flashy beast and crazy cat lady. MOL but that is ok because Mom says she is doing what makes her happy and that is all that counts.

Dear Jill,

One of the things I love best about your blog is it is like mine, ALL OVER THE PLACE, as you put it! I love it, and would miss you if you changed it around! Coming here to visit is like going to an old friend's home and chatting about what's going on! So warm, friendly and inviting. This is you and I for one, love it. What ever you decide to do, it will still be you, but I think your blog is perfect!!!

Blessings for a wondrous and joyous new year, and may 2012 be a year filled with happiness, good health and much laughter!

Hugs,
Donna

I think your blog is great just the way that it is. You have such great photos and it's about that and the life with your family (and currently lack of snow - our weatherman said it's because the systems keep getting blown straight across the country instead of being able to develop and really take hold). It's not as "all over the place" as you might think. I try and find things that are fun for mine, I'm only a moderate crafter, some of my projects don't turn out very well. Lol. But by gosh! : ).. I love a good laugh and spreading it around for all to enjoy. You are the same way, you have a lot of things that you share with us and we all think that's a great thing! So glad that I have been able to get to meet you this year as well. Looking forward to next year with ya!

Jill, I know what you are saying and I think we all wonder what the heck we are trying to accomplish with our blogs, since we obviously spend so much time at it.

I've found over the last few years that just being yourself is the best blog advice anyone can follow. The rest will fall into place eventually. :)

Big hugs and Happy New Year's wishes to you and your lovely family.

I've been doing a lot of reflecting about my blog too - maybe it's that time of year? I feel the same way, as if mine is all over the place. That's probably why I like yours so much! Anyway, I may be making some changes to mine - or starting a new one. I'll let you know.

Happy New Year to you - I hope 2012 brings your health and happiness!

Jill, I love that your blog is "all over the place". Mine is too, really.
So glad we met - guess it was in 2011 - may have been late 2010. I hope the New Year will be a great one for you and your family!
