Ready for a Close Up!

This little
guy (or gal)
was so
unafraid yesterday
I could have reached out
and touched him.

I didn't though.
I just shot him...
with my camera,
of course!

Lady, would you just back off
and leave me in peace?

Just one more shot!

On another note.
I'm having a few issues here in blog land and am wondering you any of you
would be able or willing to help me out.

First issue:  If I try to respond to you through GMail, my windows email cuts in and I can't find a way around it.

Last:  I can only post one picture at a time from Picasa.  I have to save my post
and edit each time I want to add a new picture.  Is it only me?  Any ideas?

Thanks so much!

Wow, he or she is a beauty. The birds have really torn into the food you have for them. What a great post.
TFS.

you've got windows live mail set up as a default somewhere which is why it's popping in. can't remember where to change that, though! as for loading from picasa, i don't do it. sorry. no help.

Great pictures of the wee bird. You got quite close to him/her didn't you?
Sorry I'm no help with your problems - I'm hopeless with computers.

it's a boy.....a hungry boy, mine stay like that also. kinda "ballsy", pun intended!!

i'm not able to help you with your picture issue. i know zero about everything. around here, things "happen" after lot's of button pushing......i usually have no idea how i got what i wanted. i don't use any program for my pictures. i plug my camera in to my computer, they load, i have no idea how or why. when i prepare a post i am not limited on the number of pictures i can share in one post.

when i try to make changes to my blogs appearence, my blog does not appear in the bottom half of the screen where it should, so i can see what i am doing. i have to save the changes and then view my blog. if i don't like it i have to start over. it's been like that since day one. a bit of a pain since i am usually clueless as to what i am doing.

that's a long one!!!

Great shots of the woodpecker, Jill--what fun to be so close to him. My only advise on your "problems" is to wait a day or two and see if things get better. Several times "they" (whoever "they" are) have changed things and made it hard to do the simple things we had always done. A few days later things would be back to normal. Or, post your problem on the "help" section and see if others have "been there done that" and solved their dilemma. Good luck--so frustrating! Mickie :)

Beautiful photos!!! I'm thinking about your photo issue. You said from Picasa?

Do you use the Picasa software that you download from the internet and edit your pictures on there? (while not being online at the same time)? If so, you can press down the CTRL key while selecting multiple pictures in that program... and then press the button that says "blog this!" (bottom of screen, towards right side) and it will put all the pictures you selected on the blog you choose. You'll probably want to save as draft after that, so you can go back into your blog to write.

If you're using the Picasa Web ONLINE, we all have to do it one by one too. I usually edit all my photos first, then upload one by one.

As for your windows email... I hate windows email. It interferes with a lot of my programs, so I deleted that whole thing off my computer and just use gmail instead. If you cannot do that, then you may want to find a way to disable windows email from being the default email program. If its marked as the default... it will always use that (windows email)whenever you do emails.

Friendly woodpecker!

I haven't had any problems with picasa, but that could be a new "wrinkle".

Nice close up, your camera has a good zoom in! Don't you love watching these wonderful creatures!?

On your email problem, happens to me too, as my default email is windows. I just cut and paste, as it only does this when I'm on my blog, responding to someone from my blog.

Also, when I'm adding photos from my computer to my blog, it only grabs one, unless they are side by side. I've never thought much about it. I just figured it was Blogger! But, I'm clueless with computers!

Someone who may be able to direct you to the place to get help is Cindy - you're a graduate of her Blogging 101 Seminar!

When you find out, send me an email too! he he he!

Blessings,
Donna

I use Picasa, but I only load one picture at a time on my blog, so can't be of any help. And I've never understood g-mail, so can't help you there either.
On the other hand, love the pics of your little bird friend!
Hope you get some help with the technical issues. They can be such a pain....
Perhaps try doing some research online??

Well, that is a very handsome male downy woodpecker. The males have the bit of red on the back of their head (The male critters get all the beauty...sigh...lucky for us, it works the opposite in humans...wink)
I'm sorry, I can't help with your blogger problems.I don't use g-mail, but I do use picasa. I haven't had that issue....yet
