The Lighter Side of...

What I've Learned Blogging

My good friend
Sandie
over at Chatty Crone
asked
what we've learned from
blogging.
She's celebrating
her 6th blog anniversary
with give aways
so be sure to check
out her blog.
She always
makes me smile.

Instead of leaving a long winded
comment on her page,
I decided to give her
question some serious
(and not so serious)
thoughts.

Today,
I'd like to share
a part
of what I've learned.

1)  To take time to enjoy the simple
beauty that surrounds us everyday.
And heaven help me, I'd better have my camera with at all times!

2)  That I can actually take
half way decent pictures
with my point and shoot.

Or...you're all really good liars!

3)  To check my GMail daily.

Or risk being considered rude and stuck up!

4)  I am not the only
one that struggles with the computer.

Or...maybe ya'll are just trying to make me feel better.

5)  That it's OK to take
chances on what I write or the
photographs I post.

I haven't had a complete mutiny yet so I'm thinking it's OK!

6) I've learned how many
of my fellow bloggers have so many talents.
From photography,
to writing,
to painting,
to drawing,
to jewelry and so much more.

or, why do I even bother
trying to create?!

That's it for today.  As I said,
these are just the lighter side
of things.
Another day,
I'll go a little deeper.

Until then,
enjoy the colors!

And keep laughing!

Love this post! I, too, have learned so much about life and myself, not so much by my own writing, but from everyone who responds. Your pictures are lovely! Hugs, Bonnie

I've learned that the world is full of good people, fantastic Christians who have helped me find my faith again, it was there, but in hiding, that I love coming to blogland. It's uplifting and hilarious all at the same time.
Your photos, by the way, ARE outstanding. What fabulous colors by you....ours are a bit drab, but I found that, that's ok.

The one thing I've also learned was to have my camera with me at all times!!! Heehee

This is a great post Jill. 6 years blogging - phew that's a long time. She must enjoy it. You get to 'meet' so many nice people through blogs - I think it's great. I've only being doing it a short while but I get such a buzz from it.

I love being your blog friend Jill. And the great thing about blogging is that it's YOUR blog and you can do whatever you want. Don't worry - none of us are going anywhere. I also love your sense of humor!

Jill I'm glad to have you as a blogging friend, you're one of my favorites. You all have so much more "color" than down here in Rochester.... It wont be long though, the trees are just starting to turn

What a wonderful post. I agree with you on every one of those. Regarding #5, I've found that, surprisingly, some of the posts I was most concerned about publishing were the very ones that readers liked and commented on the most.

I'm so glad you started blogging...and I love your photos!

Blogging is just so interesting to me -- you get to know yourself a little better through the process. :)

PS - I tagged you for The Versatile Blogger Award on my blog today. If you don't participate in awards or memes, that's perfectly fine. Just wanted to let you know. :)
