Practice Makes Perfect

At least I hope it does.
You see,
I've been up since
4:30 a.m.

Yes, you read that right.
4:30 a.m.

Why you ask?
I am practicing!
A week from tomorrow,
that great big yellow thing
(commonly referred to as a bus)
will be arriving here
at 6:14 a.m. to
take my daughter off
to her first day of
her Senior year.

This really seems
like unfair treatment of a human being.

Oh well.
I was at least greeted
but this
today.

That is a very very early start.

You will all be exhausted by the end of the school week.

Take care and lovely pic by the way.

I don't know why they start so early! One year mine got on the bus at 6:25, I thought it was a bit much.

Now, I get up for my dog or my bladder and enjoy sleeping in when I can - one perk (the only one) of being old.

I am on week three of getting up at 6 to get my grandson off to school. I'm tired!

Beautiful scene though in the am. And good luck to your daughter!

Why do they give teenagers these crazy school hours? My son's high school starts at 7:00 and ends at 1:45. We have to leave the house around 6:30 to get him there on time. He's always tired. Always.

Good luck!

Oh, boy! I'm yawning just THINKING about 4:30 AM!! (I used to get up at 4:15 AM for work, so I feel your pain!)

But that sunrise is a nice reward!

That seems way too early for kids to be picked up! The bus runs here for local kids around 6:50am, and I thought THAT was early! Wheew!

Bless your hearts!

I have to admit, that is a gorgeous sunrise!

Cruel and unusual punishment I say. Now you have to go to bed at like 7:30 p.m.

Oh what a fabulous sunrise. Maybe I'd have preferred to see it in real life if it had been a sunSET though ! :)

I hope she enjoys school. But 6.14 AM is ....cruel!

My daughter just started her 2nd year of college - but I remember that bitter sweet senior year very well.

Beautiful sunrise thru the trees :)
