Desperate for a Post?

Here's the deal.
It was hot again today.
REALLY hot.
Heat index was reportedly 114.

I know...
to all of my Southern blogger friends,
that's probably nothing.
But around these here parts,
it's down right nasty with
all of the humidity.

So anyway,
I was trying to be a good bird lover today.
The cute little birdies were having so much fun...
in the birdbath and the run off from the hose.

However, I jest couldn't get close enuff.
And my little point and shoot...
well...it points and it shoots...
but the zoom isn't zommie (makin' up my own words) enuff.

But I still wanted to share
with y'all.
So here they are.
Sorta sad,
but I trust you'll get the idea.

Better get your glasses for these.

Oh, I can so relate about the heat and humidity! I guess it's because I was younger then, but as I was growing up, I never thought of MN as being hot in the Summer. Seemed to get hotter and more muggy as I got older. (And I believe it is!) Maybe a trip up to the North Shore is called for?

Also problems with a camera, :-)

sorry for the excess sweat-weather. yes, we're rather acclimated to it here, but i feel for you.

i bet you could load your photos in a larger format which would help these appear bigger. i loaded mine as 'medium' for so long, then finally someone said to try a larger size and voila! you might have to resize your blog columns a bit, but they would look great larger! :)

Isn't it fun to feed the birds and see them enjoy the water? Your flowers are pretty too.

I like your photos! It's Hot here in MO, too, and will be all week. I'm sure this heat is hard on our feathered friends and all the animals, too. They appreciate that nice bird bath, I'll bet. I saw a pair of birds sitting on a cable wire leading to our house with their little beaks open looking hot. We have a pond nearby where they can get water, but it's probably hot at the top!

Birds in water is the ultimate in hunting them for photos! I really like your bird bath. I am in the market for one. Not 114 here either! Whew. Finally upper 80's with cool breeze in afternoons,

Those birds must be thankful for a cooling bath on the hot days you're having!

It took me a moment but I found that chiadee. I've always wanted a bird bath but I don't think we have a place one.

Oops! That should say chickadee. I should pre-read what I write:)

Here I am Monday morning, relaxing reading my favorite blogs. Enjoyed seeing the cowboy.. There is just something about a a young man with a cowboy hat on his head...
Loved your pictures of your birds.. I love birds. my birds are gulping down the food and taking dips in the bird bath this morning. Big storms last night so I will have to go out and clean up the yard with all the limbs that fell onto the ground.
Have a Blessed Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)
It was so opressive yesterday, hot ,humid, and hard to breathe. Thanks you God for A.C.

I too have a point and shoot type of camera. I just keep clicking along. I figure eventually SOMETHING will turn out.
Been hot here in Nevada too. Last week we were hitting 100 pretty much every day. We just keep telling ourselves it's easier to deal with cause it's a "dry" heat. NO mater how you cut it, it's friggin hot!!

haha you can make new words anytime! BUT it is a good thing that you put the little arrows with the birdies! Otherwise i might just have missed them!

Cute photos and captions, Jill. The heat index here yesterday was about 110. And the humidity was awful. We got rain this morning and now it's much nicer. :)
