Back to the Moon

Have you taken time
to notice the moon this
past week?

I have.
I'm certain this is a new addiction for me
but I can't help myself.
It has been so big,
so bright
and
so beautiful in
the winters night...
and morning!

It's a great way
to escape the hustle and bustle of the season,
even for a few brief moments.

I espeically like my smoke stack in these two.

I do love the night.

  13. Gosh, and here I thought I was the only one who loved to take photos of the sunset, moon, beautiful evening and night time shots! It's such a peaceful time for me, even when the kids are around!

Your photos are wonderful, Jill, and I love stopping by to see them. The ones you've shown us with the moon through the trees, these with just a hint of clouds or smoke from the chimney ~ beautiful!

    Blessings,
    Donna

I've noticed the moon looked like it had a halo around it last night.

  17. The moon can have so many different looks-very nice photos-eerie, mystical, and very beautiful. Thanks for your nice comments. I can't take credit for the words this time (and I should have put who they were written by), but I thought they went nicely with the photo. Have a terrific week. Mickie :)

  18. I have notice, usually when there's a full moon means a rough day at school, the kids are wild. I never believed that a full moon makes people act different until I started working in a school. Beautiful pics

  19. I've been noticing the moon too, and have been so taken by the moon rise in the evening the last couple of nights. It's really beautiful, and you practically don't need a light outside at night because it's so bright.

  20. Nothing like stepping out in the crisp night air to just gaze up at the moon for a few minutes.

  25. Great moon shots :-)

You asked about the truffles. Store them in the fridge. They last ages. I usually make mine right after Thanksgiving, and we've eaten leftovers into January and they still taste perfect.
